Are you looking for a job but not sure what the next step is for you?

Wirral Jobs is a programme which supports people with health problems in their goal of gaining employment.

The programme:

  • Is aimed at searching for work and placements
  • Takes your views and helps you through the programme with a personal mentor
  • Can be for 10 to 26 weeks, whichever is best for you.
  • Tries to meet any additional needs that you may have
  • Supports you by bringing together Wirral agencies working in partnership

There are 3 steps to the programme:

  • Step 1 - Telephone Wirral Jobs on 0151 630 3486 and speak to one of the friendly advisers.

The advisers will find out what you want to do,

see what skills you already have and then make your Individual Learning Plan.

This will stay with you and change throughout the programme.

  • Step 2  - Join the programme.

The first half of the programme is "learning" and will be a mixture of learning

  1. teamworking,
  2. communication,
  3. IT,
  • customer service
  • retail skills,

depending on your interests.

A variety of qualifications are on offer.

  • Step 3   Moving on in the Programme.

This is about matching you to a work placement then into a job.

You will be helped to develop employability skills

e.g. interview technique, CV, research skills, letter writing and job search.

Once employed you will be supported during your first few months.
