Work & Training Opportunities for Young People

 

The future prosperity of all businesses is dependent upon our young people acquiring the skills needed in an ever changing and competitive world. Work based learning gives young people the knowledge and skills relevant to their chosen careers. The training is funded by the Learning & Skills Council (LSC) and can take place in a variety of formats, including in-house assessment, day release, block release and workshops. Young people undertake National Vocational Qualifications, or equivalent (see Qualifications).

The occupational standards have been developed by employers.
