Merseyside Higher Education Conference 2008
If you have a son or daughter in Year-12 or the equivalent who is thinking of applying for a course in Higher Education then the Merseyside Higher Education Conference on 19th & 20th June at the
Or indeed YOU if you are considering applying to H.E. as a mature student or you would like to accompany your son or daughter to the event.
The event is organised by the Greater Merseyside Connexions Partnership Ltd. and Connexions Cheshire and
The Conference has two main sections:
· The ‘Marketplace’ where over 100 universities will be represented as well as Gap Year organisations and potential graduate recruiters
· Seminar programme- over 40 talks on the study of a variety of subjects in higher education, as well as talks on student finance and student life. Students and/or their parents/carers can attend up to 3 talks.
The conference opens at 9.30 and finishes at 14.00. The programme is repeated on both days so students and/or their parents/carers only need to attend on one day.
Most local schools and colleges arrange for their students to attend on a given day.
Entry is free on production of a programme and these are distributed to schools and colleges in early to mid-May. If you would like a programme please e mail your details to contact@connexions-gmerseyside.co.uk
In 2007 90% of the attending students surveyed rated the Conference "!useful" or "very useful".
