Welcome to the Training Team
The Training and Development Team is based in GMCP’s
Training & Development Centre at Wavertree Technology Park.
The centre has five, fully equipped training rooms, including an IT room and
Internet Café facilities and is in regular use by GMCP staff and partners.
The members of the Training Team are:
Andrea Farrell and Lynn Rimmer who have responsibility for managing the
day to day functions of the training team.
Andrea is the NVQ Assessment Centre Co-ordinator.
Andrea ensures that we are complying with our Awarding Bodies’ requirements, looks after our NVQ candidates,
including external candidates and is responsible for training and supporting our NVQ Assessors and Internal Verifiers.
Andrea co-ordinates the company induction programme and also is the team’s link to the Health & Safety working group
co-ordinating the Company Health and Safety training.
Lynn takes the lead on continuing professional development, which includes analysing individual staff training needs, formulating and
co-ordinating the delivery of the Company’s Learning and Development plan.
Lynn is currently overseeing and supporting the QCG trainees’ development programme and organises placement requests from local HEIS.
Jan Ferris is the NVQ Assessor on the team.
Her responsibility is to Assess NVQ levels 2 and 3 in the Advice and Guidance and LDSS qualifications. She is currently supporting a number of trainees from the Greater Merseyside Connexions Partnership as well as other agencies.
The Training Admin team is led by Sue Flynn, the Training Coordinator and comprises Vicky Hughes, Paula Bonilla and Helen Gilston our apprentice administrator.
