Safeguarding Children and Young People
Connexions takes its responsibilities for safeguarding seriously. All staff working for Connexions have a duty under the Children Act 2004 to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
Safeguarding, which is wider than child protection is
- protecting children from maltreatment;
- preventing impairment of children’s health or development; and
- ensuring that children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care;
All Connexions staff receive training so that they can respond quickly to at-risk young people and vulnerable adults. Connexions works closely with local Safeguarding Boards and can not keep information about safeguarding confidential.
If you have any questions or concerns about SAFEGUARDING, speak to your Personal Adviser, they will take you seriously. Contact Connexions
