Drugs and Alcohol
Are you worried about your own or a friend’s drug or alcohol use, or looking for further information about drugs and alcohol?
There are lots of organisations that can offer you specialist support, see the links below or talk to your
Connexions Personal Adviser who can help to put you in touch with them.
There are some things to bear in mind, however. Buying alcohol and cigarettes under the age of 18 is illegal,
and drugs like cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, heroin, speed are all illegal.
The police can arrest you if you are caught with illegal drugs, and if you give or sell illegal drugs to anyone
you could get into a lot of trouble. All drugs can seriously damage your health, and drugs can change the
way you think, feel and behave.
All drugs can be dangerous. If you or someone you know has a problem with drink or drugs you
can talk to your Connexions Personal Adviser, in confidence.
