Connexions personal advisers can provide support and information about all your choices. That can include staying at school; college; work; issues that are going on at home, such as housing problems; benefit information; alcohol and substance misuse.

The YWCA centre in Kirkby has a Young Mums to Be course for teenagers who are pregnant for the first time and have also recently started a new course Parents with Prospects. Providing a range of support from the staff and other young women, helping you learn new skills, further education, gain confidence and even improve your lifestyle.

Knowsley Teenage Pregnancy Reintegration service can help you continue with your education. They’ll support you to attend school, college and training. They can provide advice on childcare; they will work closely with you, your family, school or college. They also provide a support group that meets each week; they even pick you up from home and take you there.

In Knowsley the YES project offers advice and support to homeless young people. They will find you somewhere to live, they’ll help you adapt to having your own place, helping you budget, eat well and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

The Young Parents housing Support team can provide help, if your 16-22 years old, pregnant or a parent and claiming or applying for housing benefit. They will provide support in getting and maintaining a tenancy.
