‘KLIC’ – The Knowsley Learning and Information CD Rom
An innovative project has been designed and produced to promote all learning opportunities within education and learning (14-19) in Knowsley.
Copies of the KLIC CD Rom have been delivered to all schools and students accessing key stage 4 courses on Knowsley Collegiate.
With funding from the Area Wide Inspection continuity fund a group of advanced level multi-media students from Knowsley Community College and All Saints Sixth Form in Kirkby have worked on the design of the project along with the staff of ‘Youth Media’ a design company that specialises in cutting edge ICT work with young people.
‘KLIC’ contains video footage of most of the learning routes and these visual tasters are supported by current information about the options, plus in many case links to websites.
There are also sections devoted to partner information such as Connexions and Aim Higher. Much of the students’ work that fed into the CD ROM is also available on the disc as well as some of the outtakes from the learning provider premises.
There is a limited supply of ‘KLIC’ available from: kevin.fay@connexions-gmerseyside.co.uk
