Apply St Helens
Students in St Helens are taking part in a new pilot which allows them to search and apply for learning opportunities online. It also offers Year 11 students the opportunity to send online applications for their chosen courses and students have been given details on how to use the website and receive a password that will enable them to send their applications online.
Connexions Manager Maria Mair says "The new website makes it quicker and easier for young people to make applications. The response time for their application is also a lot faster. An added bonus is that parents are able to use Apply St Helens too; to look at what is available across the whole borough and then talk to their sons or daughters about their choices". This technology will eventually be rolled out across Greater Merseyside.
